Oprah Stands by Her Man

The Rise of Obama Part 3

The reporters from TIME Magazine may think president-elect Barack Obama exudes an Obi-Wan Kenobi persona but to the first black woman to appear on Forbes’ billionaire list – Oprah Winfrey – Obi Wan is THE man and she’s willing to plunk $50 million to stand by him.

News reports are streaming in that Oprah has ceased scouting and settled on a 9-bedroom home in Georgetown. A local station followed up on a tip from the New York Post and found Oprah’s new home (See Slide 1).

“… FOXNews.com has researched listings in the area and found a single house that fits that (New York Post) description: a $49 million, nine-bedroom, four-bathroom mansion on three-and-a-half acres with parking for 100 cars, a gatehouse, and an additional building overlooking the Washington monument.

In case Oprah has any very special guests.”

So why am I nosing around in this business. Astrologers always look ahead. They’ll caste a chart in the future and then try to predict upcoming events. Most confirm these events with news clips and eye witness reports. On the eve of the election, I ran president-elect Barack Obama’s inagural chart and lo and behold in the bottom of his 6th house was a secret love interest (See Slide 2). Whoa!! For weeks, I’ve been gossiping with girlfriends and scanning news reports in an attempt to determine:

Who is she and what is she to Barack?

I found out yesterday when news broke that Oprah closed on a residence in the Georgetown neighborhood of Washington, DC. This news triggered my review of Barack’s inagural chart and an Oprah-Barack Synastry or Friendship Chart (See Slide 3). To build a Synastry or Friendship Chart you need the birth charts of both individuals. Then, you look for a connection or pattern. Here’s what I found:

1. Yes. Oprah will be part of Barack’s Kitchen Cabinet. Oprah’s crib will be his home away from home – not Camp David. Oprah’s Pluto in Leo is within five degree’s of Barack’s Midheaven in Leo in the 12th House or house of secrets. Oprah’s Pluto in Leo is also in a 1 degree orb of Barack’s Uranus. This means that behind the scenes Oprah’s wheelings and dealings for Barack have and will continue to generate events that Obi Wan Kenobi would call “terrific!”

2. Don’t mess with him! Oprah’s natal Vertex in Aquarius in the 5th house is conjunct Barack’s Jupiter in Aquarius in the 5th house. She influences him the most about fair play and in exchange she brings him luck, protection and wealth. (See The Rise of Obama Part 2 on the fated quality of the Vertex) But there’s a trickster in the midst and it’s Barack’s Saturn in Capricorn in the 5th house. Saturn is within a 5-degree orb of Oprah’s Vertex and rules the 5th and 6th houses. Barack may have to remind Oprah about the rules and about the legal members of his family. Saturn conjunct Vertex in the 5th denotes trouble with one’s children or lovers. 1

3. Yet, despite the occasional spat these two will inevitably come to amenable terms. Hey, I’m trying to be nice here but I’m going to let it rip – Ooh la la – Oprah’s Neptune in Libra 2nd House is in trine aspect to Barack’s Venus in Cancer 10th House. According to Robert Hand the most positive result of such a connection is love and may lead to an unusual romantic relationship with someone of the opposite sex. Time will show if this is a spiritual Obi Wan Kenobi type union or one of illusion.2 Frankly, Oprah’s Neptune is too close to the Sex Pot sign Scorpio for comfort so I’ll be keeping a diligent watch on these developments.

4. This is a fated coupling for the purpose of helping president-elect Barack Obama reach his potential. Slide 4 is a depiction of the charts side by side. You can visibly see the Ying-Yang dynamic. Slide 5 is a grid that gives the viewer a birds-eye view on how illusion could creep into this relationship. The top left corner of the grid is populated with hard red aspects. This is not your warm and fuzzy hand holding couple. This relationship would take too much work to evolve into a full time thing. The top right quadrant of the chart tells the real story. Oprah and Barack are working buddies. They are an unstoppable team. Barack’s Obi Wan Kenobi style presses all of Oprah’s libido buttons. Likewise, Oprah’s full figure, money, power, prestige and backroom wheelings and dealings has Barack turned on.

No doubt I’ll be catching some heat following the trail of this kitchen — stay tuned.
